For the past few years I’ve partnered with TinyPrints to offer my clients an excellent selection of high-quality cards that they can use for holiday cards, party invitations, and birth announcements. We’re talking hundreds of various templates that you can add your images to, and personal greetings to make a card perfect for you. Seriously! I’ve also used them for Thank You cards after our boys’ birthdays, and love receiving them around the holiday season. They are made on thick card stock and always stand-out.
If you’re interested in getting your cards on your own through them, I have a way to make it a little cheaper for you. Check in on this page whenever you’re ready to make an order: I’ll be doing my best to update it with known coupons and discounts whenever TinyPrints sends out any announcement. Over the holiday season, their discount codes ranged between 20-50% off, so it’s definitely worth checking-in.
You don’t have to be one of my clients to benefit by these discounts, but I would appreciate it, if you go to TinyPrints through my storefront: http://www.tinyprints.com/storefront/zemyaphotography. Thanx and Enjoy!

I’ve known these guys for so many years, and this has been my very first photographing them. Jo likes to joke by saying that they’re a family of Chandlers (Friends reference here), but I disagree — they did great. I regret we didn’t have enough time to get some portraits of them in their Giants gear. They are huge fans. HUGE! Next time, guys. Ok?
I got to practice my meows with Chloe. I don’t know too many tricks on photographing dogs, but asking them to look for the kitty seams to work most of the time. I was a little worried that Chloe would run off chasing after the ground squirrels all over Cuesta Park, but she did great!
Poor B! My big camera lens scared him. I mean REALLY scared him. Every time I would put my camera up to my face, he burst out in tears. I can’t say I blame him. It IS a little scary looking. I love the images that come from it, and it allows me to stand a little further away from skiddish kiddos, while still giving us all a feeling of intimacy. But nope, he wouldn’t have it! We were able to get some awesome family pics at the beginning, but for the most part he wanted some time away from me. It’s OK Buddy. Next time!
When I approached T’s car as we met up for our session, she rolled down her window and announced “We’re a mess!” A mess?!?! Baby K got herself a case of conjunctivitis just in time for our shoot. But they came, and her smile just makes you forget about anything else. Seriously, K has an awesome, awesome smile! You can’t help but smile right with her. Big sis A, is just like that too. It’s just a whole family of beautiful people. As mom and K got ready, I took Daddy and A off to a little walk around Cuesta Park. The sun was coming up over the tree line, and I wanted to take advantage of some of those photographic opportunities. They didn’t disappoint 🙂
Every kiddo is different with me. And over time, how I interact with them changes too. Some I have to turn everything into a game with. Some mom and dad have to bribe. And some, I just have to ask as I would an adult what I want. B must be a little advanced for his age, because he didn’t really go for our first two approaches. I just finally told him what picture I wanted to get, asked him to help, and he did. He got rewarded by seeing his resulting portrait on the back of my camera. Amazing, right?
Mom really wanted to incorporate their Christmas bear in our holiday photos. Just so we can see how much B grows over the years. B wasn’t as excited about his bear the whole time, but hey – provided for some comedic value for the grown ups. I love that! I love using elements from a family’s life into our sessions. It’s easier to do with shoots at home, since everything around is significant. But I definitely, definitely encourage you to bring out books, toys, hats, etc. that show off what’s important.
