This past May I photographed this lovely couple. They have appeared before my camera in the past and have always been a joy to work with. Before they had been the auntie or the uncle of some adorable kidlets, but this time they appear as Mom and Dad -to be. Soon, I’ll be posting images of their little bundle too.
I ended my 2015 photography year, capturing N’s beautiful pregnancy with an awesome maternity photography session on Alameda’s Crab Cove beach. In my mind I had visions of beautiful beach sunsets and sun-colored clouds… but instead we got socked in with chilly fog, and a blank canvas sky. Though the bright colors I had dancing in my head didn’t come to be, what we walked away with was a set ethereal, and really snuggly photos. We started our session with family portraits, accompanied by soon to be big sister C. However, since N’s dad was visiting from our of town, he joined us and played with his grand-baby while I got a chance to photograph G & N just on[…]See more from “Bay Area Maternity Photography: Preparing for baby”
When I photographed P, J and X, little miss E was still snuggled in her mom’s belly and had a full month of baking left on her schedule. Alas, as I’m still making my way through posting all the families I had the privilege of photographing this fall, P’s maternity shots now pale in comparison to the beautiful, angelic face she gets to look at snuggled in her arms. I was so, so excited to hear that S and M are expecting. These two incredible people deserve all the happiness in the world. They did an incredibly selfless act by hosting an earlier wedding just so that S’ goddaughter, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer could attend. I photographed and wrote about that day here (please visit!), so you can see what amazing people they are. There’s a reason they call S “Fairy”: she is a Fairy Godmother to be sure! And now this Fairy Godmother gets to be a Mama in her own right. I’m happy that it’s been a little bit wetter this year. We’re in drought — I know we need it. However, as a photographer,[…]See more from “Menlo Park Maternity Photography: Fairy godmother’s gonna be mama”
