2015 mini sessions
Redwood City Family Photography: Plus grandma
I’m almost embarrassed to admit how long ago this family photo session took place and I am just now writing about it. Judging from the golden grass, though, you can tell this was one of the mini sessions I held last fall. I so enjoy photographing this family. As a matter of fact, this session was one of my favorites, and I was saving my favorites for last (you know… “save the best for last” sort of thing), but as things kept getting in the way all of a sudden getting through the last few slipped way past the new year like I had initially set out for myself. Don’t get me wrong — the business is a good thing…[…]See more from “Redwood City Family Photography: Plus grandma”
San Mateo Mini Session Photographer: Lucky
My life is pretty enriched simply by knowing this woman. She’s smart, she’s funny, and she’s ridiculously selfless. Fifteen years ago we met at work, and I’m a better person for having her in my life. In turn, I’d like to think her walls are happier for having ME in her life… because I get to fill them with family photos of her adorable monkeys. I love the woods right behind, and am kind of eager to do something with them in the[…]See more from “San Mateo Mini Session Photographer: Lucky”
Menlo Park Family Photography: We gotta run for it

I had it all worked out in my head, and I had the perfect silhouette image in my head that I wanted to capture with them. We started off at the base of the hill photographing for the gorgeous back-lit scenery, taking some adorable portraits for big sister R and little E. I loved even how the sun lowered behind the bush so it poked out just perfectly some some shots of mom and dad. I worked as quickly as I could, keeping a really close eye on the sun the whole time. I really wanted to grab[…]See more from “Menlo Park Family Photography: We gotta run for it”
San Carlos Child Photographer: A little surprise
Over a year ago, a friend of G’s reached out to me with a secret surprise gift for G’s baby shower. I was 1) super excited for G’s new adventure, and 2) really impressed that her friend had been paying attention, and wanted to give her the super thoughtful gift of captured memories with a photographer she likes. G’s family welcomed a baby girl! This San Carlos child photographer has been photographing them since their younger guy was barely walking, and it’s great to see their brood grow. Life gets busy. Plus whenever you add a new person into the family it’s a readjustment for everyone. So even though it had been more than a year that we got this[…]See more from “San Carlos Child Photographer: A little surprise”
