I managed to capture these guys on my mini session make-up day. Funny how on my rain make-up day it ended up raining. The skies opened up about 30 minutes after these guys. Though I had hoped for some nice sun rays to brighten our day, it wasn’t meant to be — their smiles kept us warm though 🙂
San Mateo Mini Session Photographer: Not too seriously
This is now my third year photographing P and her guys and I look forward to it now each time. They are just some awesome people with great energy, that make my cheeks hurt each time we meet. This mini session was a little unusual. It was butted up to a regular session. I don’t do this too often, but when you have a family committed to making things work and is willing to get up at (literally) the crack of dawn, it happens. San Mateo Maternity Photographer: A second baby bump
Beautiful S is going to have a baby in the next few weeks. Given how long it’s been taking me to post my previous family portrait sessions, I’m bumping her to the top of the queue of posts. Now you’ll get a chance to meet the Bump before we snuggle it in baby form. I photographed S’ first baby bump not all that long ago I’m so excited for these guys. San Mateo Lifestyle Family Photos: At home
The reason I like lifestyle family photos at home is simply how different each session turns out. Each home is like a fingerprint — every family makes it uniquely their own. Even if I was to walk into the same layout of a house, every piece of furniture, every comfort accommodation each family does makes their home special to them. That variation, and unexpectedness keeps me on my photographer toes in such a good way. I love family portraits at home just for that reason! Outdoors, I’m antsy to know my surroundings. I need to know where the light comes in, where it falls, how I can make it work with my photo (or at least not against it).
