So remember in my previous post how I mentioned that mini sessions make me worry? Well, the night right before this mini-session day I found out that the Step Out: Walk To Fight Diabetes event was scheduled on the same day, walking through the park. Oh boy! I support the cause, but man, is that not enough time to come up with a Plan B. Plus it’s one thing to move one group. Much harder to get in touch with and move four. H is a baby-signing, book-loving maniac. This may sound completely silly, but I feel such a sense of accomplishment taking this little peanut’s 1yr photos. You see, I met her when she was merely 6 days old, and here she is now, crawling after some crazy colorful balloons. Her mamma asked me to help bombard her with a roomful of balloons for our last visit. A kid + balloons? Little B joined this beautiful family just last Tuesday. He is sleepy and cuddly and comes complete with the squeaky newborn cry that just makes you want to snuggle him forever. He has already perfected the peeing on the dad trick. He he — yep, boys — they go for distance 🙂 Big sis, M is of course amazing with him. She pats his head, gives him kisses, and tries to make it better when he’s upset. In general she is such an awesome kid. If I could custom order a daughter, I would hands down ask for one just like her. I hope B grows up to be just like his sister. Congratulations guys. From her very start H has been about making her own time-lines. She made mom & dad wait past her due date to make her appearance; and she made us all wait a good 30 hours from announcing her coming to finally joining us on this side of the womb. M was an absolute hero to make it through that long labor. And I’m so excited to see this gorgeous belly turn into this beautiful little girl. I can’t wait to see you grow up, H!
