Belmont Family Photographer: Not quite a forrest

Right after Christmas I got a chance to photograph G and her boys again. I only had one request: it had to be in a specific spot I’ve been trying to find a reason to re-visit. I get really excited when a spot I photograph in frequently shows me a whole new world and a new perspective. It gets me excited and re-invigorated to go there again. Over Thanksgiving my kids introduced me to Pokemon Go, and as it so happens the start of Elevator Trail is a Pokestop. In one of our visits and Pokemon collections I looked up and saw a family of coniferous trees. While I’ve come to Elevator Trail many times, this was the first I[…]See more from “Belmont Family Photographer: Not quite a forrest”

Kids come in all sizes and attitudes: it’s part of what makes family photography fun and it’s what gives each session a unique feel. This little man keeps blowing my mind though — it’s not the first time he’s appeared in front of my lens, and each time he comes with an incredibly sweet attitude, ready to get down for my camera… down to the cheesy grins. I don’t know what P and J do to 1) have such an awesome kid; 2) get him ready for our sessions, because whatever it is: I want some of that for MY family. A day before we met, I had to call J on the phone and ask him to move up[…]See more from “Belmont Photography: Ooops!”

Belmont, CA Child Photographer: Those eyes

Look at these ladies growing up. A year ago, little M was just a year old. We celebrated her first birthday with a fluffy, big tutu and balloons. This year I have two lovely and lively girls with eye-lashes that go on forever. I mean…. look at these eyes. Not one, but both of these sisters played the “born with it” lottery and scored big time. Next time I photograph these two, I’m envisioning lots of mega close-ups. I want to give myself a little pat on the back for this session. it had been a little while since I’d photographed this family, and with an afternoon session E was not quite up for it. Understandable: a stranger points a[…]See more from “Belmont, CA Child Photographer: Those eyes”

It’s been a little while since I’ve seen these guys. Little O is so much bigger, and now he’s going to be a big brother. I always have a lot of fun photographing these guys. They have a great sense of humor and are up for anything. I love working with clients that come to me with silly ideas and we work to make it happen. Alas, not so silly this time around, but none-the-less a portrait session with a lot of energy. O was illustrating this, this time around by endless twirling. Silly boy! Belmont, CA Photographer: My little redhead & Mother’s Day Mini Sessions (Part 7)

Sweet, little O came out this time with her Momma and Grandma in celebration of Mother’s Day. I love generational session meet-ups like this because I love photographing a family’s evolution. Plus seeing Grandma play with her little grand-kiddo is just plain fun. Every time I look into O’s little face I see just the perfect blend between her mom and dad. It’s hard to pull apart which part of her features remind me more of whom. Also, her hair is awesome: it’s wild and fun, and I’m glad Mom put it down to capture her as she usually is every day. Thank you guys for making the long drive out to see me! Bay Area child & family photography[…]See more from “Belmont, CA Photographer: My little redhead & Mother’s Day Mini Sessions (Part 7)”
