It’s been a year since I last photographed these guys, and so much in our lives has happened since those family portraits. In that time what I’ve come to learn just what an amazing person R is. She probably has the biggest heart of any one I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet and call a friend. She stepped up in a very big way to help another family through their darkest time, organizing everything from their home to food planning, to emergency kid care, all while her own heart was breaking. It’s not uncommon for my clients to arrive a little early and get dressed for our session on site. This works great for families traveling longer distance, or with kids (especially the spit-up variety ;p). So when M pulled the boys out of the car and began to get them ready I wasn’t too surprised. But when she pulled O out with his bow-tie, suspenders, and hat, I just about fainted from cuteness overload. I mean, seriously — check out these two. Do you remember them from their newborn shoot? L and T are meant to be parents. They’re just so darn good at it. I have ardent respect for the way that they raise their kids and the awesome people those kids are becoming. I’ll admit, there are many days when I feel like raising two is me just treading water. I marvel at them for taking on four. Big sister J though is being amazing, and the way that she holds her little sis and comforts her: it’s just a joy to watch. I’m already feeling J might have some secrets to share with ME. It wasn’t too long ago that you saw these guys flaunt the bump. Well, now that adorable bump has transformed into an adorable, squishy little dude.
