Foster City Newborn Photographer: Re-connecting

4 years ago I was among the first to photograph the lovely, brand-new baby C. Her mom discovered me while search through Yelp for a newborn photographer and the newborn session we had together produced a set of baby portraits I think back on to this day. Fast forward 4 years later to baby C now being a vibrant, fun, big kid…. AND (now) a big sister. Mom and dad reached out to me again late last year to let me know they were expecting again. So, I got to reprise me role in their home. I loved it! The timing of the whole thing was kismet too. I’m in the process of transitioning to a new way of tracking[…]See more from “Foster City Newborn Photographer: Re-connecting”

San Carlos Baby Photos: A baby break

Amongst the midst of fall mini sessions I break for newborn baby photos. When R emailed me in the summer to let me know they were expecting, I was really excited for them. New babies just make me happy: so much love, and promise come with that little package. They’re light (remember I’m living with a five and a seven year old these days, and give piggy back rides more frequently than I care to admit, so a newborn in comparison is a feather-weight), and have tiny little squeaks of a cry. It’s cute! I know that too a newborn mom those cries feel piercing, but to me, being so far removed, they’re cute. Makes me nostalgic. Not so much[…]See more from “San Carlos Baby Photos: A baby break”

Bay Area Newborn Photography: A new life

Little E has been one very awaited little man. He took his sweet time to make his appearance, to a point I was proposing rescheduling his newborn photography photo shoot. I usually schedule my newborn sessions at least a few weeks past a due date, but he had us going all the way to the wire. S had gotten to a point where her identity had become “the pregnant lady”. Eh — worthy title for the mama of such a cute nugget. And he really IS adorable. S, M and (now) E live in Portola Valley. For those of you not quite familiar with the Bay Area — it neighbors Palo Alto on the Peninsula. I’ve never ventured on that[…]See more from “Bay Area Newborn Photography: A new life”

Belmont Newborn Photographer: Worth the wait

Drew is the talent behind Andrew Sherman Photography, based out of Belmont (just like me). He and I met at a photography class a few years back and stayed in touch, forming a small critique group and working on a few playful projects together. If you ran into a couple of “kids” playing with their off-camera flash setup in the underpass of the San Carlos train tracks: that was probably us. Drew and his lovely wife, D had been expecting this little man for quite awhile. Drew mentioned to me some time ago that he would like for me to photograph his son’s newborn session, and I had been waiting patiently since to make it a reality. It was worth[…]See more from “Belmont Newborn Photographer: Worth the wait”
