G and A are die-hard Giants fans. And that’s actually saying a lot, living in the Bay Area. I’ll be honest: I didn’t get it. I mean, I get athletes doing sports, I get that people follow games, but I never quite got why people were so intense about any particular team and associated their win as a joint effort. And then G posted a note to his little man urging him to some day understand the values of hard work, teamwork, perseverance, diligence and faith. Values exhibited by this team. And then I got it: it wasn’t about the game — it was about what a group of people, working together towards a difficult challenge, represent. So, little R, I hope that you will find and exhibit all those values some day, and you’ll make your mommy and daddy proud.
