It’s been a little while since I’ve seen these guys. Little O is so much bigger, and now he’s going to be a big brother. I always have a lot of fun photographing these guys. They have a great sense of humor and are up for anything. I love working with clients that come to me with silly ideas and we work to make it happen. Alas, not so silly this time around, but none-the-less a portrait session with a lot of energy. O was illustrating this, this time around by endless twirling. Silly boy! Once a year a group of my friends gathers up for a week-end away. A girls week-end. I look forward to this time every year. I love my boys at home, but I also love the chance to be an adult, that doesn’t constantly nag the short person next to me to stop annoying his brother. We’re a mix of professions, ages, religions and political views that respect and support each other. Our group has known each other for about 8 years now? Wow! Wanna know what an afternoon week-end at my house looks like? Well, two boys + one kitty = this!!! We let our kids jump off our couch. It was a battle we fought and lost. After awhile, we just gave in and moved the coffee table out of the way. I bring a crash pad out and they boys go to town. When you see faces like this though, can you really be mad? Don’t worry though — they only jump on our furniture at home. So if you invite us over, I promise they’ll behave… and stay off your couch. Sweet, little O came out this time with her Momma and Grandma in celebration of Mother’s Day. I love generational session meet-ups like this because I love photographing a family’s evolution. Plus seeing Grandma play with her little grand-kiddo is just plain fun. Every time I look into O’s little face I see just the perfect blend between her mom and dad. It’s hard to pull apart which part of her features remind me more of whom. Also, her hair is awesome: it’s wild and fun, and I’m glad Mom put it down to capture her as she usually is every day. Bay Area Photographer: May In My Corner of the World

May for us had two major highlights: 1) Easter; 2) Zoe. Don’t scratch your head for too long. Yep, Easter really WAS in May for our family. Coming from Bulgaria, which is primarily Christian Orthodox, we celebrate on the Eastern Orthodox calendar. Usually Orthodox Easter is about 2 weeks behind Western-calendar Easter, but since it’s determined by the moon, we got almost a whole month of separation this time around. What this means to me? 1) Egg dye is a heck of a lot cheaper, and we can always take advantage of Easter stuff going on sale.
